here is my contribution to LIFE IS LIKE project which is not so excellent but what do you expect from a cauliflower?

LIFE IS LIKE A CAULIFLOWER

It looks fluffy and soft from the distance but when you get closer and touch it you find out it is quite hard and needs boiling for at least 20 minutes. During which process it smells .
This might be unpleasant to the person who has just entered the kitchen but the cook becomes accustomed to the smell and after a while they simply are not aware of it anymore.

You have to get rid of the green leaves surrounding the white head as soon as possible. They are not suitable to eat, although without them this kind of vegetable would grow into its definite shape.
A cauliflower looks a bit like a vegetarian sunflower if you have an artistic eye.

You can eat it raw but people don't usually do it. Only sometimes they use it divided into small sprouts in salads.
A cauliflower is best when it is coated in bread crumbs and fried. When just boiled it becomes soggy and tasteless. Frying in bred crumbs also conceals the original unattractive colour of a cooked cauliflower.
